“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7
I love the phrase “with thanksgiving”. It’s tucked in the verse so snug-like, it almost hides.
Present your requests with thanksgiving.
Pour out your heart, but don’t forget to be thankful.
Beg, but remember God’s blessings while you’re at it.
It seems that gratefulness should play a major role in my God conversations.
Peace will guard my heart.
And my mind.
I need more of that.
