“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
Isaiah 5:20-21 NIV
Woe to all the crazy people. They are everywhere. I cannot believe all that is happening in our world. All that has been happening. It is so easy for me to see how people are losing touch with Truth and mixing up darkness and light, bitter and sweet.
And yet, it’s easy for me to see, because in my own perspective, I’m the one who is “wise” and “clever” and “right.” He says, woe to those people too. (I guess that could be me. Gulp.)
I’m pretty sure this verse is a reminder that I don’t have all the answers. You probably don’t either. I’m most likely walking in my own kind of crazy.
God, please reveal your Truth to us and show us how to walk in it graciously. Fill us with your wisdom.
We need it. Desperately.
